The NovaStation workstation on a recorded BTC/USDT 4h chart: MA9 and MA21 over the candles, sparse LONG and SHORT setup markers, an RSI panel underneath, and a status bar showing the last recorded candle, the timeframe regime and the engine's current no-signal review. Chapter 1 of 4 Signal

Start from the setup you want context for.

Start from a marked setup — the thing you want context for.

What to look for

The candle the verdict belongs to. A comparison is only meaningful once you know exactly what is being compared.

Context is something you go and get. It does not arrive with the marker.

NovaStation's Signal Review window over a recorded BTC/USDT 4h market snapshot: the engine's verdict for the last evaluated candle — Neutral, strength weak, stand aside, no setup — above the trend, momentum and volume checks it ran, and a plain-language note on what it is waiting for next. The window states it is for analysis and paper-trading practice only, and the frame is labelled Historical Market Snapshot.
Signal Review on a recorded snapshot. This candle produced no setup — the verdict reads Neutral, stand aside — and the window says what it is waiting for next.

Chapter 2 of 4 Inspect

Know what produced it before you compare it.

Check which conditions produced it, because a comparison is only meaningful between setups that formed for similar reasons.

What to look for

The conditions that passed. Those are the terms on which Signal Twin will look for comparable setups.

Two setups that look alike on a chart may have formed for different reasons.

NovaStation's Gate Inspector over a recorded BTC/USDT 4h market snapshot: a plain-language list of the engine's entry conditions — trend, momentum, volume, closed-candle, multi-timeframe, cooldown, volatility and structure — in a genuine mixed state of passed, still-waiting and blocked checks, labeled 'Historical Market Snapshot'.
The Gate Inspector on a recorded snapshot: every entry condition the strategy checked, in a genuine mixed state of passed, waiting and blocked.

Chapter 3 of 4 Compare

Read it against what happened before.

Signal Twin and Market Memory line the current setup up against past ones and show how each resolved, including the ones that went nowhere.

What to look for

The ones that went nowhere. A comparison that only counts the winners is not a comparison.

Signal Twin shows how comparable setups resolved. A resemblance is not a promise.

NovaStation's Signal Twin Inspector over a recorded BTC/USDT 4h market snapshot: a LONG setup compared against 28 similar past setups, with a 46% follow-through dial, a directional-lean bar and an at-a-glance summary reading “mixed — no clear historical edge either way”. The window flags medium confidence and a low sample, and states that it is historical setup comparison only, not financial advice and not a prediction.
Signal Twin on a recorded snapshot: one LONG setup against 28 comparable past ones. The window flags the low sample and reads “mixed — no clear historical edge”.

Chapter 4 of 4 Review

Leave a record you can check later.

NovaInsights holds the record, so the comparison you make today has something to be checked against later.

What to look for

Whether your reading of the comparison matched how the setup actually resolved.

A record is what turns a comparison into evidence rather than an impression.

NovaStation's Nova Insights review window on the Paper Trading Review tab, labeled 'Illustrative Data': a summary of a simulated paper-trading record — closed trades, win rate, total P&L and an open position — generated from the app's own reconciled paper ledger, not real trading results.
